Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal support for The Royal British Legion’s charity work through the Poppy Appeal, emphasising the need to help all generations of the Armed Forces and their families – today and for the rest of their lives.
The Royal British Legion has been helping the Armed Forces community since 1921. Their needs have changed but the need for our work is more vital than ever.
The Legion runs recovery centres for injured personnel; advises and supports bereaved families; gives financial help and careers advice to service leavers; provides holidays, breaks and life-long care; companionship, comradeship and practical support to the whole Armed Forces community and their families.
